Henry Weber was a vice-president of the Watch Tower
Society who died in 1904. He ran a large horticultural company which his heirs
continued with after his death. The business of H Weber and Sons continued
operation until 1978.
According to the New
Era Enterprise newspaper from October 20, 1920, this is where some of the
famous Miracle Wheat – now rebranded – ended up. The article was written by
John Adam Bohnet who had grown the original Miracle Wheat on farmland adjacent
to the United Cemeteries, then owned by the Watch Tower Society through the
United States Investment Company.
