Menta Sturgeon was CTR's
traveling companion on his last journey. There is no mention of CTR in this
cutting from the Sheboyean Press (Wisconsin) for February 14, 1914, but the
play on words is an adroit piece of publicity.
Menta was to leave
association with the IBSA after the death of CTR and eventually became a
Universalist, supporting the Concordant Bible Society.
