An Albert Delmont Jones

When I
did a series of articles on Albert Delmont Jones some years ago (reprinted
and revised on this blog) there was one grave marker I did not use. I always
ask permission of the Find a Grave photographer to republish their work, and
this has always been granted. Sometimes it has been a relative with more
information. However, there was this one exception, now published here. I tried
several times but never received a reply. It may be that the person is no
longer involved with the Find a Grave site. So I am publishing it here with a
credit to Find a Grave.
It is not
the clearest of photographs, but relates by association to the bad boy of Watch
Tower history, Albert Delmont Jones. It
is part of the Bown family plot in the Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh. The
stone on the left mentions the daughter, Caroline M Bown (1858-1933), wife of
Albert D Jones. Since she divorced ADJ for infidelity after twelve years of
marriage and four children, the ADJ name is probably only recorded because
their infant son is buried here too. His name is on the middle stone, Albert D
Jones, and although the dates can be misread, other documentation gives his
dates as born 2 February 1883 and died 9 April 1883.
